A very warm welcome
Two months ago First Camp Bøsøre Strand camping in Denmark was reopened by a very sweet and beautiful family, after being closed for six months. We were literally welcomed with open arms. The kids both got a Yessi bear and we received an cabin upgrade.
We were supposed to stay in a Skovshave cabin but the Storebælts cabin has a better location and was recently renovated. So the owner preceded us and proudly gave us a tour. He had also put fresh flowers on the table and his wife had made the beds. We felt so welcome! Lovely!
First Camp Bøsøre Strand camping in Denmark
By the way, First Camp Bøsøre Strand camping is located in a magically beautiful place in southern Funen. The campsite is by the sea and there is a beach. There are also several nice playgrounds on the park and the family is now working hard to renew and improve everything.
For example, we really enjoyed the fine indoor swimming pool (and the free Wi-Fi 😛 )!
Storebælts cabin
We stayed in a Storebælts cabin (number 16). This is a cottage of 30 m2, with 2 bedrooms with double beds and a loft. There is also a very small bathroom with a toilet and shower. A compact kitchen with a dining table and a sitting area with sofa and TV.
The cottage is cozy and lovingly decorated by the typical Scandinavian interior.
However, the house still needs some love and renovation. For example the shower does not work (it only gives freezing cold water) and there where a lot of ants inside the house. The TV has also seen its best days. And the loft is not very convenient with small kids.
But the location of the cottage is perfect! You are within 3 minutes on the beach and also the beautifully renovated playground is just steps away. Also, the main building is super close. And that is especially with small kids, tremendously nice!
How we experienced our stay
It is nice to be in a place where you are so wanted. Where everyone greets each other and there is always time for a chat.
Immediately after the first night I suffered from colic pain caused by kidney stones. Because the pain was so severe and came right through the morphine, I visited the family doctor in Hesselager. And while I wish you only good health and hope that a visit to the family doctor is not necessary for you and your kids, it is nice to know that the care here is incredibly good! And honestly, much better than in Holland for example.
In addition, First Camp Bøsøre Strand camping is located in enchantingly beautiful surroundings (we have decided that we would love to find a house to live here 😀 !) and close to the beautiful town of Odense. Where there is also a great zoo.
Final conclusion
We have fallen in love with the beautiful surroundings where First Camp Bøsøre Strand camping is located. In addition, we wish the new owners nothing more than all the best and lots of love. They are working really hard and are so kind! We are sure that the campsite will be renewed in no time!
